This location is WAY better than the kings canyon one. The food was fresh, I was given the correct order, quoted 10 minutes and it only took 8. I always get the aloha plate island fire chicken because it's made to order and is the most flavorful item on their menu in my opinion.

Came in to use one of our mailers (BOGO) and was greeted by quite possibly the nicest person ever. PENNY! Penny was kind, patient and offered us insights into the menu that we didn't originally know. She explained the differences in plates and proteins which we've never had before. As we sat and ate our food, we noticed how efficient she was. She spent her downtime filling up plastic ramekins with sauces and every time an order came up, she didn't wait for someone else to do it. She gave it to the customer with a smile and "have a great day." It was so refreshing to see! The ambiance is what is to be expected in this order at the counter restaurant. Food is fresh and seems cooked to order. Wish they had more side options in lieu of rice and salad.

I love me some Hawaiian BBQ and Ono definitely hooks it up. The portions here are massive and feed for me a couple of days. I got the chicken Katsu plate and their island fire chicken plate with a side musubi. Their Katsu is a classic panko fried chicken and is normally pretty good. Although this time around I felt like the pieces were fattier than normal. The island fire chicken was delish. Just enough spice at the end of each bite, but not overpowering. My wife, who is not a heat seeker, even loved this plate and thought the spiciness was at a good level. Like I said, the portions her are very generous and I had so much Island chicken leftover, I put some into the air fryer the next day and made myself some spicy chicken tacos! I got my food to go, but they do have a spacious dining room if you wanna dine in. If not, the service is speedy and your to-go order will be ready before you can, "mahalo!"

We got takeout from this restaurant for lunch. We started with the crab rangoon. Though not bad, was a bit soggy. Our main courses, the crispy shrimp and island white fish lunch plates, were served on a bed of steamed cabbage and broccoli, accompanied by two scoops of white rice and one scoop of macaroni salad. The crispy shrimp impressed, but the standout was the tender, flaky island white fish with a yummy crispy exterior. The macaroni was a delicious highlight, reminiscent of the macaroni salad I enjoyed in Hawaii. Overall, a hearty meal with generous portions.

Friday 5:30pm A friend and I finished shopping at Sam's Club which is in the same shopping area and decided to stop in for some Hawaiian BBQ. We have both been here before and just felt like eating some rice and fried shrimp. Ordered the Mini Meal which comes with one scoop of rice, one scoop of macaroni salad and 4 pieces of fried shrimp. Tartar sauce comes with it for the shrimp. I also ordered a drink which is self-serve. Pepsi products, so no Diet Coke for me. Our order was taken right away and ready within 7 minutes. The bathroom was clean and so were the tables. 4/5 stars because the woman that took our order seemed a bit impatient and not so friendly. There were no numbers given so when our order was ready to picked up from the counter, she just kind of waved her hand at us and yelled ready.

Ono is always a solid choice for us when we are looking for a crowd pleaser. Spam musubi, chicken katsu, beef kalbi, island fish, there's something for everyone. My favorite thing is the macaroni salad here and the rice. Inside is spacious and modern with plenty of seating. Open kitchen concept.

Has and I think will always be my favorite food place to get some spicy chicken, I gotten their bbq chicken and their ribs but the island fire chicken has always been my go to. Comes with 2 scoops of rice and 1 scoop macaroni. Their macaroni is always a hit or miss. But it's a hit it's so delicious!!! At the Bottom of the chicken you get veggies( cabbage/broccoli and some other) The many times I been here, I have always gotten great customer service and the place is clean. Sometimes you have to wait 15 min for the chicken to be done but if you're in no rush then it's no biggie. Sometimes they can get super packed just depends on the day Oh I recommend their salad, the flavor comes mainly from their dressing so good!
